Mark 9:41
"For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.

Thoughts:

This verse encourages me.  Jesus shows us that the smallest act done for Christ will not be forgotten by Him, but rewarded.

It's easy to forget that our lives are not simply defined by great victories for the Lord, but even more so by tiny acts of obedience, day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment.  That is our true battleground.  And those victories, which the enemy would convince us are not even noticed by our Lord, are significant in God's eyes and for the direction of our lives.


Prayer:

Lord, enable me to walk in obedience to You, today.  I want to die to myself and be like You.  I want to experience the true freedom You have for me, as I surrender to Your will.
