Genesis 1:1 - Created out of nothing
Scripture:
Genesis 1:1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Thoughts:
Such a simple, but profound statement of reality. God, who is without
beginning, created all that has a beginning, even time itself. Indeed,
the word "universe" which we use to speak of all that we know in the
physical realm, ironically makes us think of this "one verse" which
explains where everything came from, though this does not appear to be
the intent or origin of the word, itself.
Evolutionists today seek to refute this foundational verse. They would
rather us believe that the universe has somehow always existed, and
that rather than God creating man, man created God to explain the
unanswerable questions of life. But science and logic show us that the
universe cannot have existed eternally, nor could it have created
itself. An honest examination of the data will lead to the conclusion
of what is known as "ex nihilo" or "out of nothing" creation; that the
universe had a beginning and that beginning appears where before there
was no physical matter or energy. Further, there must have logically
been some Agent who caused this event to happen. In short, it leads us
back to Genesis 1:1.
Prayer:
God, I just want to worship You in my prayer. You are the amazing,
living, all powerful God! I'm so glad to know You because of what
Christ did for me.
Amen
