Genesis 50:25-26 - Staying strong in faith
Scripture:
Genesis 50:25-26
25 Then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear, saying,
"God will surely take care of you, and you shall carry
my bones up from here."
26 So Joseph died at the age of one hundred and ten
years; and he was embalmed and placed in a coffin in
Egypt.

Thoughts:
Joseph comes to the end of his life, still walking in
faith. Old age may have made him physically weak, but
it did not remove his confidence in God. He was still
looking to the promise of God; Canaan, the Promised
Land.
So how are we in this walk of faith, Christian? Have
years of walking in Christ lessened our faith in Him?
Have disappointment and discouragement weakened our
zeal? Have we grown used to the good things of God and
lessened in our gratitude to Him?
Prayer:
Lord, I am inspired and humbled by Joseph. Such a man
of faith, to the very end! Rekindle a fire in me. A
fire of belief in You. A fire of joy, thankfulness, and
faith.
Amen
